On 19 March 2004, Sandon Global was established by John Millington with a vision to build a company that provided the print industry with an alternative anilox supplier for conventional 60° engravings. The company’s quest for continuous improvement led to its initial success with innovations including its High Volume Process (HVP) and High Opacity Whites (HOW) engravings that remain leading anilox solutions in today’s flexo market.
Since then, it has been a story of growth and investment underpinned by the company’s values and its drive to become the number one anilox supplier of choice. Richard Millington, Managing Director, credits its dedicated team and the support from its customers and industry partners far and wide for its success to date.
Richard said, “This year marks 20 years since Sandon Global started out. We will be celebrating in style later this year but, for today, we’d simply like to thank our dedicated team, and our customers and industry partners around the world who have been with us on our exciting journey so far.”
The company’s values today remain based upon the same principles as two decades ago. Precision, continuous improvement, service and expertise still underpin the independent and family-run business, with quality and innovation remaining an integral part of the anilox manufacturer’s DNA.
Richard added, “We are proud to be an independent family run business, focused on providing exceptional service, the highest quality and innovating to set the standard in anilox engineering. The investments we have made to date reflect our continued commitment to quality and innovation.
“We continue to invest in people, equipment and technology to stay at the forefront of anilox engineering. Looking ahead, we have exciting plans for future digitisation and automation in our manufacturing processes to further improve our efficiencies, and this investment will increase our flexibility and agility, benefiting our print customers worldwide. We are very much looking forward to the next 20 years!”
