Anilox manufacturers Sandon Global are celebrating the part they played in this year’s FlexoTech Award successes.
Sandon Global’s Export Manager Stuart Mitchell commented. “We attended the awards evening which as ever was well organised by FlexoTech Magazine. As the presentations concluded we took great pride as we calculated some interesting statistics on the number of winners and nominees using Sandon Global Anilox technology.”
Indeed, Sandon’s observations are well founded; of the 3 “Flexible Packaging” Award Categories 2 of the winners used their aniloxes. Both the “Label (Process)” and “Best use of Flexo Print Using Process Colours” were also Sandon customers, as was the “Supreme Award” winner (effectively best in show).
No strangers to awards themselves Sandon Global have an enviable trophy cabinet. Including a Queens Award and four consecutive EFIA Gold Award’s no less; in the category of ‘Supplier of the Year’ as voted by flexographic print companies. Mitchell added. “We can end the year on a real high given we can claim 50% of the nominees across all categories for this year’s awards, used our anilox systems. We would hope that the success of our partners is aided by our commitment to quality, innovation, product consistency and service.”
Not resting on their laurels Sandon Global have continued to invest in further technology, highlighted by a recent order placed for a latest generation laser to be delivered February 2018. The business also continues to invest heavily in staffing. Additional bi-lingual customer service staff have been recruited to support their International Business and Mike Baines has joined as Technical Services Engineer. Mike is a time served printer with an intimate knowledge of flexographic printing, his role will be to provide hands-on technical support. Initially to Sandon’s UK customer base by offering invaluable anilox audits, fault finding, maintenance support and training days at customer sites.
Finally, the appointment of Michael Franz as European Sales Manager is key to the companies continued expansion. Michael is based in Germany and will be responsible for this region and selected European markets. His industry knowledge spans 25 years performing senior roles in the anilox and flexographic print industry.
