Sandon Global awarded accolade for export business

Sandon Global have been awarded yet another accolade, this time scooping “Exporter of The Year” at a gala dinner last Thursday evening. The judges from St Helens Chamber of Commerce assessed various criteria including; The level of exports when compared to size and sector, barriers that have been overcome e.g. language, products/services and approach to new markets.

Export Manager Stuart Mitchell (pictured centre accepting the award with Export Sales Co-ordinator Ann-Marie Wild), commented “We are extremely proud to win this award for what is becoming an extremely important aspect of our business. We have successfully continued to grow overseas sales through our expanding network of technical agents, exporting to 53 countries throughout the world.” He continues. “Not without its challenges, through hard work and determination we have gradually built on our reputation and stretched the Sandon Global brand overseas.”

Graham Worsley, Chairman of St Helens Chamber, said: “The judges were blown away by the strong field of entries, with the highlight of the Awards hearing about the success stories that will go forward to the National Chamber Awards, where we are hopeful of further success.”

This latest achievement complements an already impressive trophy cabinet that includes 5 consecutive “Suppler of The Year” EFIA awards, a Queens Award and the runner up at the national British Chambers of Commerce Award in the best SME category.
